This gem is hidden away in a quiet Clifton street. Formerly it was the last residence of Fatima Jinnah, sister of Mohammed Ali Jinnah the founder of Pakistan. It fell into disrepair after her death in 1967 but has been restored to itd former glory.I had high hopes when I stepped out of the taxi as I had seen photos of Mohatta Palace and I wasn't disappointed on arrival. Admission is 10 Rupees per person (Feb 09) which is a bargain considering the quality of attraction that you're visiting. You will have to go through a metal detector at the gates and have your bags searched but the guards are polite and professional.
